Bay Milking Equipment Ltd has been installing and servicing milking machines  from Te Puke, Galatea, Gisborne, and of course Whakatane for over 26 years.

Formerly WJ Dippie Milking Machine in Edgecumbe, the business was re named to Bay Milking Equipment Ltd and by 1995 the business moved to Whakatane.

The company continued to grow and Bay Milking Equipment moved to a new building behind the original one in Gateway West, Whakatane in 2011 with the original shop becoming BME Pools & Spas for swimming pool and spa pool specialist and chemicals supplies.

October 2016:

The business was sold to Steve & Llaurellee Darrah and re-branded as,

BAY MILKING EQUIPMENT 2016 LTD. Trading as THINK WATER WHAKATANE 

Steve and Llaurellee come from a farming background in Thames and purchased the business after returning from seven years living and working in Australia.

Steve & Llaurellee have a background in the agricultural sector as farmers (and still own a dry stock farm in Thames). And  having had a successful Agricultural Contracting business for 10 years which they sold to pursue another interest.  An opportunity came about to live  in Perth Australia where Steve  had worked on an Arable Wheat farm on and off for several years, after a few years another opportunity came to selling Agricultural Machinery Salesperson. Llaurellee also has a background of farming and also has a background in Office Management and Small Business Management.

We have now become an International recognized franchise with   Think Water Ltd , there are 30 stores in Australia and 21 stores in New Zealand. The Think Water businesses  are Locally Owned and Operated and we can still offer the same products as before, but now we have our preferred suppliers within the Think Water network.
